SkolWild73 Verified Member
Feeling a 3-2 OT win today. Mainly because if a game is going to go OT, I want it to be an afternoon game, not a late weekday start.
bisopher Verified Member
Agreed that this game will be a big tell as to how (if) the Wild are truly developing and on a path toward bigger things. Win today, and they're in the driver's seat; lose, and the Knights go home tied, with momentum and a huge chance to send the Wild home early. To be optimistic, I think they can get it done today, and in this series. From there, let's see what KK97, Boldy, and especially Rossi and Buium look like in 2 years.
Citizen Strife Verified Member
The Wild (and Minnesota sports in general) need to get the point where you look at a lineup and go, "Yeah, they can win that, no problem." They have always been in that underdog or underrated role because that's what they've done to themselves. The Wolves did a lot by getting to the conference finals and beating the Lakers would only aid that. Facing Dallas? Fuck that. Facing Colorado? Welp, nah. Every single time. But getting one over on Vegas would at least show the Wild aren't a doormat to some extent. It would give Guerin the grace he needs, prove choosing Hynes was a solid choice for the team we have, and give us a chance to shut up and breathe. Now, if the Vikings and Twins could just get their own shit in gear too. Edited Saturday at 03:08 PM by Citizen Strife

Kevin Verified Member
Wild wouldn't know how to close out a series if it was handed to them. No one on the blue line has any toughness. Middleton has size but wouldn't hurt a fly. BTW he has been atrocious all playoff and especially today. Buium is not ready for the task. The rest of the D weigh 160 lbs. You can't win meaningful games without some size, grit and toughness on the Blue line. Wild has none of that
