Merril cost us 2 points. The Wild have the answer in Jiricek.

Yep..and he has been screening our goalie lately.  Not paying attention to clearing people out of the crease.  He has been the cause of several goals against us the last few games.  I don't usually mind Merrill as he plays a simple game and clears the net front.  Nothing helpful but nothing stupid.  Lately he has been stupid too.

I'm seeing a repeat of the end of last year. Except the Wild are trying to hold on to a playoff seeding this year and last year they were trying to get one.

The games they should win they just aren't getting it done, while stealing a game they aren't expected to win here and there.

It's up to Boldy, Rossi and Zuch to put the puck in the GD net starting with the next game.

Gets pretty quiet on this site when the team is really struggling and what a few of us have been saying for the past 3 months that the team is not that good and some of our main players like Faber, Rossi, Boldy, Spurgeon, Zucc, Hartman, Trenin are overrated and should be moved to make the team better.  For all those calling us idiots it sure feels good seeing this team collapse with Billy not knowing what he is doing.  Kap will not sign this summer and the team will be mediocre another 10 years.  This team needs a HUGE shift of 5-7 new players to get better.

Faber, Boldy, and Rossi are still young and are doing just fine. Yea.. I know we are in a slump but we don’t have the best team chemistry right now with injuries and all. Faber is clearly being over-worked and has said it himself. No to the Ketchup brothers and no to Tuch or Thompson or whoever else. I liked Tony’s idea of bringing in Elias Pettersson or Mitch Marner.

I called this year a mirage, and have been pretty adamant that next year is what matters.

Contrast that to a lot of people, who are still butthurt about Khusnutdinov to the point even Reddit was like, "Dude...seriously?  Just stop."  There's a time and a place to vent, and it's called college

Also, take the quiet time as a blessing.  We didn't have a "Is Rossi a 1C" or "Aging Contracts" article for a few days.  😁

Thanks, now that will be all we get for a month 😎

Have to wonder if Khusnutdinov's agent asked for a trade so that his client isn't spending time in the AHL. Khusnutdinov was not happy to get the news about the AHL, and the agent does have many other NHL contracts(including Wild prospects), so the'll be dealing with them again. Wild also could have both Danila Yurov and Riley Heidt competing to make the team at C next year.

Also interesting to note that Bostin is using Khusnutdinov at wing and not using him on the PK at all. Very different usage patterns for him with Boston. With MN, he started in the D-Zone more than 70% of the time. With Boston, he's been starting in the O-Zone over 60% of the time.

Guerin has a big summer ahead of him. The team doesn't look overly promising with nearly 40% of their cap space going to players not currently playing for the Wild.

Kaprizov, Brodin, Eriksson Ek, Suter, and Parise make up over 39.5% of the total cap, so the Wild are playing at roughly 3/5 of what's available to healthy teams. Hopefully they can grab enough standings points to get into the playoffs this year.

I really want to see this team with everyone available for the playoffs one of these years, and given the way the team started the season, this could be a fun team to watch if they can get everyone back.
