Both players are considered on the rise with solid seasons. I’m expecting the Wild to make the playoffs , though it’s not guaranteed. After the playoffs I want to see how their performances are evaluated. I think that will give us a better idea of what to expect moving forward. If Rossi falls off I expect he will get dealt. of course they are, anytime they are televised on national TV the hosts HAVE to drum up the content....without Kap - they have to focus on something. i am just grumpy at the whole situation. there was plenty of time to make it a much better 5 year run so that the team was more comfortable with Kap signing but it reality - we took a step back, done nothing to help Kap where it matters (physicality in top 6) and again we are waiting for prospect promise and saying "next year". Kap is not 20. He won't be on board with another 5 year plan, no matter what Leo and Bill preach.

Stats are saying what the team has been the entire time, not just the last 6 games. Hopefully we get healthy for the last two weeks and then see what happens. I hope it isn’t like two years ago when Kap came back for two before the playoffs. I do not believe he was close to 100 percent for that playoff series. Boldy and Rossi can't make a difference when every team in the world knows they have to stop a second line. Kaprizov needs to be moved before the franchise can start threading a needle. If they keep everyone they have and sign Rossi and bring in Ohgren and Yurov, they will only have around 8-10M. Really depends on what Rossi signs for. https://puckpedia.com/team/minnesota-wild 21million plus the 10 million expected jump in Salary Cap. Build up around Boldy, Rossi, Faber, Buuim, and we all have seen the elite talent level Yurov has. We have a solid D unit for years to come let's flip Kaprizov for some young talent, pick up Marner and another top 6er in free agency. Tuch is a must going forward. I don't see Kaprizov being the answer. I don't disagree with trading Kaprizov. However, that only comes if he doesn't sign this offseason. If he plays the lets wait and see game. Trade him at the deadline. With the week FA class and how the money is going to be flowing this summer. I have a feeling if they shop him at the trade deadline you could get a significant hall if they trade him. That being said I don't want to trade him. I hope they sign him.
