That’s a red flag for me - him being somewhat up and down and still not a sure thing

i think we need stat certainty to align w Kap

id keep my eye on Ranty

Ranty hasn't looked right since joining the Canes though, 9 games 2 goals and 3 assists. Start of the year was much better, on pace for 40 goals and 65 assists. Canes pace is 18 goals over a season. Maybe it is just getting acquainted into a new system and new teammates but that may be a red flag too.

Blues beat the Capitals 5-2 last night. Oilers and Jets both lost as well.

Moving on to the next one, hope MN comes out with a chip on their shoulder today.

Nucks & Flames lost as well which was really good for us.

Sell while in a playoff spot with 75% of the season completed. Makes sense. If the team isn't the de-facto best team in the NHL at the moment, it's important to punt on the season because nothing can go the team's way.

Per Pierre LeBrun: Nashville and Minnesota are talking about a potential Gustav Nyquist trade, per sources, which is why he's being held out today. But the trade is still not done. Could be a complication. Let's see where it goes.

Depending on what we give up I don’t mind bringing G Ny back home on a 2-3 yr deal.  Not going to move needle much but he takes nojo’s spot in top six for next couple years
