or get his ass more injured and see his play deteriorate as a result. same for brodin and gus. all for what? some made up tournie!

Yah I bet the players association is going to put some language into next agreement that says the nhl can stick this mid season no stakes exhibition tournament where the sun don’t shine.  But P-Nation the players are playing for their country and their pride blah blah blah.  I bet they fully understand they’re being exploited in this cash grab by the owners.  I assume that’s who’s getting paid here.  Go back to the all-star game where players are shooting pucks at surfboards on a beach somewhere, until we can get back to league play.

They could also just do North America vs Europe (Draisaitl, Pasta, Kap …vs US/Canada would be awesome!)

or have some balls and allow any NHL player to participate and expand to 7 countries and then 8th be all other

Revenue is split 50-50 by the players and the owners and this year‘s four nations will earn 4 to 5 times what a All-Star game typically earns. thanks Skol. anybody else think the first period animosity and fights was due to the fans booing  our anthem? looking forward to a Canada rematch in the final

Agreed. There are too many Russian players in the league to not have them in this tourney. It doesn't matter what side you're on in regard to the war, the players didn't start it and they aren't fighting in it. This tourney should be about the best players on ice facing off.

Moving it to pre-season instead of mid-season would be a great jump start to the NHL season. If someone does get inured, the GM's would at least have some pre-season time to make roster adjustments.

I had heard that M. Tkachuk was not happy about the booing of it in the first game.  Might have been that or maybe they just wanted to set a tone to get Canada to play more physical to maybe limit their speed and get them out of their game?

To expand, they would have to allow players that are not on an nhl roster to compete.  Finland barely had enough players to even field a team.  Russia has the 4th most players on an nhl roster (opening day that is) with 46.  Finland next at 37.  Czech is 6th with 22.

Hopefully Billy, Heinz, Gus, Faber, Boldy, Brodin, Ek get us Kap resigned, Rantanen here, and a fucking round 1 win this year.

Yea, we definitely need Kap resigned. But what does Gus, Faber, Boldy, Brodin, or Ek have to do with it?
