SkolWild73 Verified Member
Gonna chalk this one up to 4th game in 6 days on the road. This game could easily be 5-0 or 6-0 if not for Gus. 1

I dunno...this looks like Ottawa got under our skin and our players are getting petty and making crap plays because they're more in tune with retaliation than making them pay on the scoreboard. SkolWild73 Verified Member
Good news for me about this game, I can get to bed early. Waking up early to get to Mille Lacs for those Jumbo perch that are biting. 3

mnhockeyfan03 Verified Member
There is an ongoing trend with this team. Any team that plays physical against us we suck! Rossi, Boldy, Spurgeon, Zuccarello fold up like a folding lawn chair. Hartman is flat out dirty and slow now and hurting this team. Get rid of all the above players to make this team better. If we don’t we are going to continue to get smoked against the physical teams in the west. It’s flat out embarrassing and easy to see we are to small in our top 6. We need 2-3 more large top 6 guys and Spurgeon needs to go.
UK_Soldier Verified Member
Either the Wild allowed the beverage cart to be open on the train trip from Montreal, or they think they're playing the Sens of the past 5+ years, or they considered this to already to be a successful road trip and said f 'it, we're good, or some combination of those things. Pretty disappointing.
UK_Soldier Verified Member
Welp, was going to give this game until the end of my beer, but I think I'm done. Hynes might need to have the Calgary talk again.
mnhockeyfan03 Verified Member
Hartman should be put on waivers for that sort of crap. No excuse. He has been terrible lately. Get rid of the garbage. Billy have some balls to make some moves. This team is going no where the way it is

He get's some calls against him (his fault because of his history and mouth), but that wasn't one of them. He'll get suspended.

He is a big baby and cheap player. Get rid of that garbage. Make a statement and put him on waivers tomorrow. That will wake up the team. We are so soft it’s not even funny. Enforceror Verified Member
I think we just sank to a new low. I was starting to feel hopeful after the last couple games but that balloon has popped. Absolutely terrible game. I don't expect to win them all but that was just pathetic. Hope Hynes kicks them in the ass.

Don't think Hynes was too happy about that. He had just spent multiple stoppages in play discussing the embellishment play. Boldy was trying to defend him too. Then Hartman does that and is smirking on the bench after the match penalty is called. Hynes took one look at him and walked away as the period ended. Hartman tried to say something and Boldy turned away too. I've often said Hartman was a liability. Earlier in the season I gave him credit because he was playing far more disciplined and wasn't taking a lot of dumb penalties. But, no, he's still a detriment. We can't have players pull the kind of bs he does. Our PK just isn't that good. I'm not saying that we shouldn't play a hard game, but the stupid stuff has to stop.
IrritatedFan76 Verified Member
Guh, this forum should be tied to the “what happened to the wild’s offense” forum. They don’t hate to lose. Forget finishing their checks, they don’t start them. I’m so sick of people puckering up and smooching Gustafson and Boldy’s rosebud, Guerin should send em both down the road for two used pucks and a half case of Gatorade pre-mix. I challenge anyone to really study film and see anything other than a forward who makes pretty plays every third or forth game and a tendy who gets three line support from his D, consistently. When the rubber meets the road, or more aptly, the blade, they’re a 10 million dollar cap cancer on this team. This team needs more grit. No, strike that, they need stones, they need more than just Foligno and Hartman stirring and agitating. They need all hands willing to throw hands, all night, EVERY NIGHT! RedLake Verified Member
Get a new coach and GM in here. This team is brutal. I'm sure they are still hungover from closing down Montreal for Flowers party but 50+ shots Holy fuck!!! Hartman should retire at this point. His home life must be brutal let's be honest. High Maintenance wife and a newborn isn't easy for any man. Ohgren is shit, no wheels and no grit. Kush is improving but give him line 2 minutes. Folingo is shit, Trenin shit, Freddy shit, Boldy shit, whole team shit. Need a coach hynes isn't the answer. Kaprizov is injury prone trade him for what you can get, and let some Iowa Mild youth play and see if anyone wants it at this point.
