It was in the elimination games that he chipped in more. My hope is that he is filling out and strengthening. Another interesting note was Kiviharju had 3 assists, Soini had none. However, Kiviharju also was a -3. For being a runner up team, a -3 has to be a bit disappointing. I only saw a blip of Finland in this tournament, maybe somebody who watched the whole thing can comment on the 4 players of interest. It looks like Lambos was brought up to practice with the team and be the extra D-man. It's still a nice reward to pocket 2 game checks while eating nachos. I'm hoping they'll at least debut him so he can really see how much faster the N is than the A. I think it will help him. My gut is starting to get antsy as I feel a trade is coming soon. Last time I felt this way we snatched Jiricek from Columbus. It feels like a futures for now type of trade.

Not sure the Wild have cap space(less than $400k currently, and projected to be less than $900k at the trade deadline) for a win now type of trade given that Spurgeon should be off LTIR by early February. Maybe there are some small contract win now moves, but it's hard to speculate on what those might be.

He's big enough, he's smart enough, and gosh darn it, people like him! Some hockey analysts had him listed as a top 10 overall prospect among all skaters who had been drafted, but hadn't played a full season of NHL hockey. He's basically the same size as Makar, and could still add some muscle. 1 1
