mnfaninnc Verified Member
I thought he looked a bit rusty, and seemed to be a half step behind. Pretty sure it won't take him long to get back up to speed.
Will D. Ness Verified Member
Yup. He looked about 75%. Probably just easing back into it which is fine by me. I don't think he has really hit his stride yet this year.

It's not just a game or two that he is out but it's extended stretches of time. It seems to be building up the last two or three seasons. Injuries compound after awhile. They catch up to you just like age does to slow you down and make you less effective.
hydguy75 Verified Member
EE is valuable when healthy, but seems to also have the injury bug plaguing several of the Wild. For over $5M / year, starting to seem more of a liability than asset. Hate to say that, but facts are facts.

While the injury time hurts we have a selke contender center, one of the most dominant defensively in the league for the price of a mid 2nd liner. Even with injuries (where we are compensated through LTIR) EEK is an absolute steal of a contract, probably one of the best on the team.
