Sam Verified Member
Yea that was a bad game offensively and definitely, it will be nice to get Midstrom back. Wouldn’t being shut out be considered “laying an egg” since 0 is an oval and hence, an egg? Either way it was bad. mnfaninnc Verified Member
We knew this would happen as soon as key pieces went missing due to injury. We can put a front line team together, but being down $15m means depth is just not there. The sky is not falling. We are simply in a lull that we will be out of when back to full strength.

The problem here though is it shows how much the team is lacking depth. Which is kind of concerning considering how great we have heard this pipeline is for the last 4 seasons. Iowa sucks, and the best call-ups we have are career AHLers. Hopefully I'm just being impatient, but this pipe line continues to fall short player after player (excluding rossi)

Maybe it's time to pick a new team so you can root for someone rather than endlessly dogging on them. I get it's frustrating but the odds of winning a cup are so slim. This team has been competitive for awhile now...at least we're not Buffalo.

Hopefully I'm just being impatient, but this pipe line continues to fall short player after player (excluding rossi) I understand the frustration. It is interesting that Buium is in Denver, Ohgren was in Sweden, Yurov is in Russia. A lot of the "pipeline" were in different spots besides Iowa. In Iowa, I know we didn't have the horses needed to win there. When they came to Charlotte, it was looking at individual players and not the team as a whole. Of course, their top line was up in St. Paul which hurt a bit. But, what I saw was improvement with Lambos, improvement with Bankier, Haight, a lot of improvement with Spacek (in fact, Spacek has improved about like I had thought he would when I was so high on him). I think there's more in the tank for the 2 defenders even though I'm down on the coaching staff. They simply aren't ready yet and this is Haight's 1st year and the other's 2nd. I'm not sure you can expect anything else. It's a bummer I didn't get to see The Wall or Jiricek play.

I have high hopes that ohgren can come back much better than we saw to open the season. I hope that yurov's numbers this year aren't because of his play. I haven't dove too deep into the KHL. Buium still has to make it out of college. It's the fact that we the wild faithful have been sold this bill of future success. It started in 2020. So far the results have been meh. I hope that the prospects prove me wrong!
