mnfaninnc Verified Member
What else was the owner going to say? Personally, I think we're another move away from getting a contract signed. Obtaining Jiricek was one big move in the right direction. I think gaining Alex Tuch will be another. What is also in this contract is whether or not the team is ready to win now. The trade for Jiricek shows that Guerin has made the switch from rebuilding to going for it now. We are a large scoring forward short of being able to make noise. So, I'll just call it the Tuch class. I'm also thinking that Johansson and Zuccarello probably need to be subtracted before we really make noise. Both are not quite the embodiment of playoff hockey. Some may also point to Rossi in this, I don't because we haven't seen him perform in playoff scenarios.

Imyourhuckleberry Verified Member
Interestingly, after a horrific 0-6 start to the year for the Iowa Wild, they've gone 9-5-1 in their last 16. After the recent 3 game stretch where Iowa outscored their opponents 14-3, Lambos is up to a +5 on the year, which is 2nd best among defensemen on the team behind 27-year old Joseph Cecconi, who's leading the Iowa Wild at +12. The Iowa Wild started the year with a lot of new players and some injuries, but might actually be turning things around with some positive developments. Too early to tell maybe, but things aren't looking as hopeless as they were early on. 3

The odd thing was, Cecconi was playing 3rd pairing with Peart in Charlotte. He didn't look really outstanding, I'm betting he's had some pretty good luck. I was thinking someone outside of the organization as I was already planning on the arrival of Yurov, The Wall, and Buium. I'm thinking someone in the Tuch class, a large, fast forward with skill.

MacGyver Verified Member
Isn't this old news? I thought CL announced six weeks ago to all of the leagues GM's and Kaprizov's agent that nobody has more money than he does to give Kaprizov. Or is this just a reminder? OldDutchChip Verified Member
Cap & money is all that matters here - yeap The rest is irrelevant nothing to worry about then, cause Wild will offer 500k more and that surely will seal the deal for poor money hungry Ruski Edited December 13 by OldDutchChip

Kaprizov much more likely to win in his 6th, 7th, or 8th season, assuming he stays with the Wild. Kaprizov also started later than some of those guys.
