It was great for me! Of course, it was a late game so I watched this morning.....well, it turned into this afternoon.

I come with a pessimistic tone today having freshly watched the Wild come from behind and beat the.......Hockey Club. They need a name. I was thinking the Blizzard, or maybe the Icemen?

• The optimistic portion of my comment is what a nice goal by Khus! The thing was, the breakaway looked pretty effortless. This guy has such great acceleration and top end speed but we never really get to see it. One would logically think that with that much speed and that good of a defensive acumen, wouldn't that be a perfect match during 3-3? Khus has some terrific passing moves that are really subtle. Ek and Brodin are out and we're taxed with guys in OT. Why not throw him over the boards???
• Our PK has been.....awful against 2 low ranked PPs. I'd said earlier that I expect our PK to be good against 20 and below PPs, below average against teams 11-20 and atrocious against top PPs. They made both the Kings and Hockey Clubs PPs look brilliant. This is unacceptable even with Ek and Brodin out. We cannot sit around with this, it needs attention and mandatory practice of special teams is in order. I was thinking that Boldy should be added to that rotation, I can't remember if I saw him there or not.
• New building and new sightlines for Goose. I didn't think the goals were much of his fault until #4. His team bailed him out. Rossi and Boldy atoned for their penalties and were absolved. That move by Boldy in the shootout was nice. He made up his mind what he would do early and performed it. Vejjie was sliding around all night so if someone had a good catch and scouted that they get a hat tip or stick tap. 
• Freddy could have done the same thing but approached it too slow, he's got some nice shiftiness, but that move wasn't good.
• Vejjie was strong in net, mainly because IMO he's a lefty, or righty catch. It screws with the shooters heads and makes things more difficult. Except Khusy had no trouble just ripping one by him and both goalies have an equal 5 hole. 
• But, with the way we outshot the Hockey Club in the 1st half of the game, this game belonged to us. That's why I can't quite agree that this was a stolen game. A couple of seasons ago, when we had all those 6-5 goals to tie things up, we were legitimately down during those games. This game we should have been up and justice was served. 
• Key kudos goes out to the replay guy who caught the offsides, he gets a game puck. That was a big moment.
• What I didn't like and this goes back to the Kings game too were all the passes that were into opponents skates and bodies. The Kings had done that twice to us, and I think there was a lot of that vs. the Jets too. It's like they scouted us and knew where we were going and got there first. That may need a little tweaking.
• I also thought this may have been Marcus Johansson's strongest game of the year, maybe in his tenure. He was strong on pucks, picked up points that directly affected goals and was also in perfect position many times for retrievals. He didn't back down from the physical part either (even though he really didn't throw any checks). 

Well, this wasn't as pessimistic as I thought it would be. Utah should have a pretty decent club. I'm sure it's nice playing in front of large crowds. But, the Wild bank another 2 points. The more I watch, the more I imagine another center in the mix, like a Brock Nelson, and just have to wonder what type of an impact that could have? If we need a guy like that, is there a way to get him fit in before the deadline, like immediately? As I watched the guys skate off the ice after the win, I couldn't help but think they are missing a Tuch. I know he's a wing, but he's also a dangerous RHS wing. I think I'm getting on the ODC bandwagon for that particular move.

Until it's officially announced, I refuse to believe that there's not a chance it might be the Salt Lake Stormin' Mormon's or the Salt Lake City Soakers...
