Imyourhuckleberry Verified Member Posted yesterday at 04:31 PM Share Posted yesterday at 04:31 PM I'm a bit concerned about Brodin. Russo indicated that he was walking gingerly in the last few days from an upper-body injury, and they were planning to check if surgery might be necessary. Hopefully the injury is less significant than that, but it didn't sound like he might be returning in the near future.

Wish him the best and a quick return.
mnfaninnc Verified Member
I assume the IR is retroactive? This all makes a lot of sense. Brodin, limping off with an upper body injury could be a pinched nerve in his back, or something similar. The injury is upper body, but it makes you look like it's lower. I'm guessing the other A guys got sent down? I'd like to see Ohgren start being more aggressive on the forecheck and against the boards, he has the strength. I've seen him get run into from behind, and the reaction is similar to when Greenway was pissed off. Ogzy didn't move and just looked at who annoyed him. I'd also like to see his stick catch up a little. At least he could stickhandle a bit. The Wall is the thing that makes the most sense. These decisions get made in the cone of silence and we never hear anything. I'm betting that someone tweaked something on Saturday and this was why The Wall was scratched on Saturday afternoon. You have to read the actions, not the words. My guess here would be it's Fleury since Goose played that night, and didn't seem to be hampered. Charlotte has a major airport, so catching a flight to MSP would not have been a problem for The Wall had we needed him on Saturday, baby Wild's game started at 4pm eastern. The tweak may have been something, or may be nothing, but I'll bet we see The Wall backing up Goose tonight.
FredJohnson Verified Member
No wonder The Wall was held out of several recent Iowa games.
Fezig Verified Member
There's a good lesson to all you kids out there. If you're a good player, try hard, and put team first, there's a chance you are going to get hurt. On the other hand, if you are like NoJo who can't handle a puck, lack effort, or any ability whatsoever, the opponent will not go near you for fear you might leave the ice.
