Sam Verified Member
This may be a stretch, but maybe the rookies need to be sent to the A. Especially Ohgren, he needs more time to marinate.
Amaddeo Verified Member
I like the idea of Hartman with Ohgie and Khus but I don’t think it makes sense having him on the 4th line. I think Khus has been playing great, just hasn’t had the offensive result yet. It will take some time. He and Lauko have been great together, and I think Ohgie has been better the last couple of games with his compete level and forechecking. I think when Hartzy comes back and centers that 3rd line, that should be the spark they need to get some offense. I think things have gone well so far but it’s definitely a curious thought having Hartzy elevate two youngsters. It says a lot about him as a player if he can make those around him better. Citizen Strife Verified Member
Ohgren's really struggling to find his footing. He ran into Khusnutdinov late, leading to another rush for Tampa. Khusnutdinov, Lauko, and Freddy look like valuable members of the team right now. Ohgren hasn't figured out what he's bringing to the team. Hartman's not so stiff that he can never be a 4th liner. He played on the 4th last year to decent success. You can bet Ohgren's a lost cause when he comes back. mnfaninnc Verified Member
I just have to wonder about this suggestion. If Hartzy is loading up on the 4th line, who's sitting? Lauko? He's been pretty good, I would suggest that wouldn't be a good idea. Now, should injuries mean that someone else needs some time off, absolutely give this a try. I think it's better to put Hartzy back centering line 3. If I were sitting someone, Freddy might be my candidate.

In MLB terms I would label him a AAAA player - too good for AAA but not good enough to be a MLB player outside of injury temporary replacement.
Patrick Verified Member
May as well try. Sit Freddy. He has been a passenger for 100% of his shifts.
