Let's see how the Wild play against Florida. Rossi has a couple but Lundell has more than a few. Interesting to see the two of them go head to head from a Wild fan perspective. Mnfaninnc and I had Lundell pegged for the Wild's 9th overall pick. Mercer and Jarvis were my NA picks but I thought the Wild might take a good size Finn who played against men after Koivu was gone.

If Gus can shut the door on Florida and MN can score a few on Bobrovsky, I'll feel more confident the Wild are on the right track. Apart from the NoJo situation.

The key thus far has been the Gus Bus. As long as he keep it rolling long enough for our players to shake themselves out of their classic 1st period daze we should be okay.

Foligno and Trenin will both be bringing thunder after the shots they took at the hands of Paul Maurice in the latest article in the Athletic. Ohgren, Lauko and Khus will bring the 110% effort they seem to bring to every shift. Boldy has been quiet for a couple games so I think he puts in the first goal and we are off to the races from there.

Gus did the deed.  You feel more confident now?

This is a weird take. The Wild have played with great consistency  to start the year. If Fluery had been average instead of terrible against Seattle we win that game. No shame in losing to the Jets they are a great hockey team.

Observations from FL. Rossi is becoming a good player. Win the Lundell head to head this last game. MN goalies are good. Gus has had the numbers and Fleury made big saves on quality chances in Tampa.

Bogo chipping in a beauty assist and MN hitting posts like it’s going out of style. Big guys like #97, #14, and #12 factoring in, I’d say the Wild are gonna be a playoff team.

If they avoid injuries and get more depth scoring, it’s gonna be a fun season. WPG and DAL are the teams the Wild have to solve. They can’t overlook Philly who beat them last season or get complacent. Staying out of the penalty box works, wow, gee-whiz, what a concept.

More wins on the horizon.

I didn't think Fleury was that bad against Seattle. MN was sloppy and they had some costly mistakes. Penalties and poor breaks from the refs. I know Fleury has bad games but he kept it to two or less last night with some beauties. MN will be fine with the defense group currently. They're playing as a unit and that's gonna feed into more success, especially if they see it materialize as a result of the buy-in.

That's what the Wild are doing right now. Their top guys are being the top guys. Production from the depth kinda lacks but the things to complain about are few. I think the goalie duo is fine. Fleury doesn't look that old to me. If the Wild played against Kraken the way they did last night, Fleury's easily 2-0.
