I am more incline to have fun with these comparison then take them as anything concrete. Marat the next Kaprizov? OK Ohgren next Matthews? OK Yurov the next Mogilny? OK If that's the case - trade Kaprizov and roll out a line of Kaprizov 2.0 Matthews 2.0 and Mogilny 2.0. Snap - that's some good line. You were whining about Ogie? WTF dude?? Citizen Strife Verified Member
1st Period thoughts - Pretty even so far. No teams have made some huge mistakes yet. A lot more evenly matched than the Dallas game. Given the personnel...yeah. - Kaprizov is the best player on the ice, and it's not even fair. His line is the one doing much of anything offensively, and it's gotten some Zuccarello chances near the net, plus a PP goal for Kap himself. - Most of the other lines are struggling, kinda like the Jets' lines are. It's tough to get a read on if anyone is playing really well. Other than a few bumps off the puck, no one has really gotten any momentum other than the top line. - There have been four penalties already...sheesh. Citizen Strife Verified Member
Middleton and Faber played last night. Chisholm and Merrill did..."ok" against Dallas, but they were kinda up shit creek trying to hold everything together.
