Pewterschmidt Verified Member
I’m mixed on this. Would have been great to get a return, but going to guess he signs a one year deal (no more than that BG) so they don’t have to rush Wall-E next year
Citizen Strife Verified Member
He probably wants to leave on his own terms. The Wild have done right by him, and he still gives his all when he clearly has no need to do so. Watching him jump around still make crazy saves like a cat chasing toys is exciting fun. I don't think he will re-sign, but if he wants to stay for these last few games: fuck it. Enjoy it while we can. FredJohnson Verified Member
Wild Will Reportedly Not Trade Marc-Andre Fleury At Deadline The major media outlets don't believe this^^^
Citizen Strife Verified Member
Course they don't. They want the super ball goalie just as much as we do.
B1GKappa97 Verified Member
I'm going to assume he figures that anyone trading for him would just be making him a backup anyway. Which is likely true. If he wants to break the tie with Fuhr to take sole possession of 3rd all-time goalie wins in the playoff, his best chance to do so comes with us since Gus isn't looking as steady as he did before. I suppose its a good sign for us that he wasn't willing to waive his NTC when he was for Chicago just a couple years back? Now the rest of the team just needs to keep playing hard and win some for the Flower!

However if he's traded to be another team's backup, its unlikely he even sniffs the goal in the playoffs. Dean Evason isn't coaching anymore 😜
mnfaninnc Verified Member
We may want to rethink this stance now. I assume he gets the net Saturday night. I've got to think that Shooter just threw his hands up in the air as his plans got crushed after last night. I thought we could go on a run through March and take the 8 spot, this looks unlikely now, unless we're catching LA. Where do we go from here?
