I think this must be the core of the reasoning behind the signing. BG and DE want some big guys on the team. Perhaps there are not any with his skillset that will be available. Still....4 years?

I'm with you guys, 4 X $4m was just too much for me too. And when I saw what the bloodlines had done, granted Marcus is larger, it just looks to me like we're going to regret the deal.

However, $4m won't seem like $4m in a couple of years with NHLinflation. It's coming and will make our heads spin. It will make Boldy's deal look really, really good.
