Article: Wilderness Walk: Wild Lose To Stars In Unseen Preseason Action

MN has gotta be able to handle Central division teams.

Great regular seasons where the majority of losses come at the hands of Dallas, Colorado, Nashville, STL, and Winnipeg has become a trend. Now that Chicago got the gift of a lifetime again and Arizona is building, the Wild can't expect to just show up and waltz off to victory.

The Wild need mental grit. They played a good 1st but got a too out or what?many men penalty and totally lost the whole game from that first goal in the 2nd. Mental. Evason too. I mean has Deboer got the Wild figured out or what? From the outside it appears DeBoer watched the 1st, adjusted, and then Dallas beats Fleury easily with deflection goals, etc. and the Wild are done. Dallas again makes MN their little brother and 3rd line grit pots a couple more goals.

Last game Kero took advantage of the Wildnwith a cheap shot. Last night, besides the usual suspects, Marchment killed the Wild again. For 3 straight seasons with two teams, that guy has victimized the Wild.

Dallas has 3 really dangerous forward lines. I don't like the tone. Preseason shuffle or not. MN needs to bring in a Navy Seal or get hypnosis to inject the mental grit instead of scavenger-hunt marketing crap called "team-building."

Let's hope Dean is taking notes and trying to connect dots. Like if everyone says that I'm overreacting and these games serve a purpose, let's hope so cause getting whomped 6-1 probably isn't 5D chess to make Dallas think they can destroy the Wild at will.

Bring back Walker, Haight, and Heidt in business together to lay down the law.(Sounds like a Firm that could represent well.)

I'm not going to worry about all this after a preseason game that means absolutely nothing.

Did you see the lineup that was out there. Let's wait and see and if this is the case at Thanksgiving, then we can talk. We need to expose the young Wild to the fire, implement the systems and try out the new toys.

Right now its not about wins and losses.

Not too worried. Would've been nice to watch it live though, listened on KFAN for the majority of the game, fell asleep during the 3rd period. Listening on radio is great but hard to be a true judge of game flow. Remember the Wild blasted through preseason last year but started the regular season 0-3.

Had starting goalies yes, but only had 1 defenseman and 6 forwards that will be on the ice starting the regular season while some might not even see Iowa time (barring injury or something unexpected). Of those 6 forwards only 3 were top 6. Stars had 8 of their starting forwards and at least 4 of their starting D. Hope the next game is broadcast!

Stop being reasonable and composed. I'm angry and tired of the Wild getting dominated by 40-year old Pavelski, the Calder runner-up, and frick'n Marchment. They score on Fleury at will.

Remember last year when they were down 5-1 in the 3rd, and MN blew the lead? All I see is Wild jerseys and losses when it's STL, DAL, NSH, and it's weird. MN has Central problems.

How did this game get bumped from the lineup? Was ESPN actually at the Stars game.....or was Bally there and ESPN+ supposed to stream it? Which, I should be able to watch the replay of but probably won't.

No one chose to be there, we get to watch NY vs NY and basketball

Ok, but I'm confused. Was this ESPN proper or +? I just get the + in my house, but usually it is streamed from the Bally broadcast.

Speaking of Bally, are they still having problems locally?

It was listed as an NHL stream, but when you go to the stream link it took you to ESPN HULU. No game.

No word on Bally,  but heard we may need to pay for more if we want All The Games.

That's frustrating, will Bally let you just choose Wild instead of both Wild and Timberwolves?

I sure as hell hope that if Bally/Diamond goes under the games will still be accessible via ESPN+. I'm out of market so that is my only access to Wild games.

I would happily pay to be able to watch every Wild game whether it's through ESPN+ or if it would be an NHL type package.

I certainly noticed that in the Box Score. The Stars played most of their stars, while the Wild held back a lot of theirs. Dallas likely will compete for a top 4 playoff spot again, but the Wild should be able to compete better when they play all of their top defensemen and their #1 line.

Looks like the 3 Wild forwards I've never really heard of before didn't play a strong game, which isn't shocking when facing a top team.

I only watch the ESPN feed when it's the only one on and listen to local broadcast online,

I cant stand the myriad of incompetence that usually follows in the broadcast, small talk, ignorance, lack of knowledge of players and listening to Leah and the gang.

I would not pay for that ESPN $#%!, NHL package like the old dayz YES!

Yeah unfortunately I'm at the mercy of ESPN+, think all but like 7-8 games were Bally broadcasts and not nationals via ESPN+. The only thing that F's me is when the Blues-Wild play I have to pirate the stream because the Blues are in my Bally's "territory".

I would GLADLY pay for the old-school NHL CenterIce package or whatever it was called to watch every single game!

According to the Star-Tribune this morning it looks like Diamond Sports has come to a one year deal with Comcast/Direct TV. The NBA and NHL teams on the Bally Network will need to take a 25% cut in fees and apparently they will agree to that. It is still conceivable or maybe inevitable that Diamond/Bally will not emerge from bankruptcy so that is still there.
