Article: Wilderness Walk: Jesper Wallstedt Heading To Worlds

I'm a little surprised that Sweden didn't want both goalies.

The Bruins' window closes when Bergeron/Krejci retire. If they come back for another year, they still could win. With out those 2 centers, I truly believe the Bruins are not a playoff team.

Ottawa, Detroit and Buffalo are all on the rise. We saw the demise of Washington this season. While Florida took a step back, I think they've got enough horses to keep them going. I would look for NYI, Boston if retirements happen, to be in danger of losing their playoff spots next season.

In the West, I think Calgary rebounds next season, Winnipeg probably blows it up and I'm looking at the Pacific finally flexing it's muscles and potting 5 playoff teams. Essentially, for us to stay in the playoff picture, we have to outduel Nashville. I think the Blues are going to have a tough season.

Is it too late to declare Rossi a swing and a miss? I really wanted him when he fell to us but I also know Anton Lundell was often mocked to us as well.

Man I really wish we would have went with Lundell instead of Rossi now :(

TC, where were you on the Ek vs. Boeser argument? Where are you now?

Right now Lundell looks like the better player, and I'm with you on that. I thought his offensive game was underrated by the scouts. But, he didn't suffer terribly from Covid. I can't call it a swing and a miss with this underlying condition. We also saw this with Toews who even this year couldn't finish out the season properly.

How much that myocarditis took out of Rossi, we may never really know. I do know he has not been the same player that was scouted. I'd recommend a little patience, and a solid offseason of strength training possibly with some psychiatric help. To me, he's afraid to shift into 5th gear, and if we can get rid of that fear, we may be able to reclaim him.

Full disclosure, even after we drafted Rossi, I was heavily rooting for a trade which could have brought us Lundell too!

I actually remember reports that the Wild were trying to trade back up to draft him but Florida wasn't having it!
